The past two weeks have been sPecTacUlar! And while it has taken some time to get to the {dance-in-spectacular} … It was well worth it!
My adventures actually began last October when I began to read, read, read about (and experiment with …) creative planning, visual journaling and collage-journals and planners.
I discovered solutions that worked for me (after years of searching and months of specific research).
Dear reader, be encouraged! If you are in the midst of organizing, decluttering or otherwise engaged in activity that feels like a left shoe on your {creative} right foot — continue — but purpose in your heart to see what you are doing with new eyes. Alter the way you move through your days; tailor organizational techniques and tools to fit comfortably. I also encourage you to read (and act upon) this post: “Do something you’re passionate about“ …

This is why it becomes imperative that we re-lease the misconception that clutter promotes our creativity. Honestly, I am inspired by plaques with quotations, colorful do-dads and such. However, the more I get rid of around my workspace (and elsewhere …) the more I can wholeheartedly recommend {decluttering} as well as {doing one thing at a time}.

Resist the urge to purchase or otherwise obtain storage containers until you have semi-completed your decluttering. Otherwise, you simply have to manage “one more thing” in the midst of crowded disorder. Just the sight of piles and boxes of assorted stuff, sends us into overwhelm.
I do recommend finding, buying or borrowing two very large Rubbermaid storage bins, such as this one. You can instantly declutter a space by tossing anything not absolutely necessary for said place! Just be sure that your next project time is focused on declutter the bin!
Yet, another reason for only have one or two bins.
