This week has been completely different than most of my weeks. In fact the past two weeks have been different than most of my weeks. Relationships have been {even more of} my main investment of time. My days have included rockin’ babies, being the best friend {and the eldest child}, strolling down memory lane {actually multiple lanes of memory …} as well as young children and hospitals.
Interestingly enough a break in my routine also provided a fresh perspective when I clocked back into {my stargardener routine} on Friday. Friday mornings begin with breakfast (and some of the best coffee I have ever tasted) and the inspiring company of other women who dream, plan and ponder their business ventures. It is a greenhouse for brainstorming our ideas. {And just plain having fun!} ![]()
The art of planning is truly art …
Especially for a right brain planner!
It requires a collection of elements {such as brainstorm greenhouses} … of principles and methods — with splashes of creativity! It is appealing — {much} more than mere ordinary tasks lists and verbiage. My personal right brain {planner} has become more of {a record of studied action} — lists, notations, doodles of what has occurred within my days, compiled after the fact.
The habit of collecting the moments of my days has been extremely helpful for me as I plan my next Life-Adventure.
My youngest son graduates from home school this year, thus my role as Education Facilitator is officially being downsized. Thus, for the last 18 months, I have been considering and experimenting with various {next steps} with regard to what my days will include.
For the past two months, I have specifically designated Sundays to be a sort of {re-collection day}. A day when I assess the prior week (and mile markers) and ponder the possibilities of the coming week (and future mile markers). Often posting a potpourri of thoughts and links here as I grouped and excavated my open Web page tabs and notes.
In doing so, I have realized that persistent use of the “Divide and Conquer” principle works and that implementing the {often disguised} ease of “One Step at a Time and {Master Lists}” answers the question: “Anyone got the time?” and reduces the occurrence of “Invented obstacles” … Particularly with regard to moving in the direction of one’s dreams!
I learned that we can do anything, but we can’t do everything.. at least not at the same time. So think of your priorities not in terms of what activities you do, but when you do them. Timing is everything. ~Dan Millman
